Our Committees

The ACHE Central Florida Chapter committees are a vital part of the experience in the ACHE, and are an excellent way to network, gain valuable skills and make the most out of your membership. If you are interested in volunteering on one of these committees, reach out to the chairperson for more information.

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

We serve as ambassadors for the chapter. We create and distribute chapter information, announcements, and resources in addition to educational, membership and networking opportunities. We communicate to a diverse group of members, supporters, students, organizations and other health care professionals via our website, quarterly newsletter, emails and social media.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

We advocate for member needs by assisting members with navigation of ACHE activities, including advancement to Fellowship status and participating in Early Careerist opportunities. We seek to grow and strengthen our membership by holding New Member Orientations and working with the other committees to keep our members engaged and reinforce the value that ACHE has towards its member’s professional goals.

PARTNERSHIP - SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE

We are the liaison between ACHECF and the Partners that contribute financially to funding our chapter events. We create benefit packages, engage potential Partners, and fulfill the benefits entitled to each Partner. If you enjoy networking with a multitude of people, have a background in business development/marketing/project management or want to enhance those skill sets, then this is the Committee for you. On our Committee, you are exposed to our wonderful Partners, our Chapter Board and key leaders from all our Health Systems.

PROGRAMS COMMITTEE

We are responsible for providing education and networking events to its members through state-wide events, regional events and webinar offerings. Many of these events are low cost and supply the approved education credits necessary for attaining and maintaining the FACHE credential. All are encouraged to attend these events to maximize the value of your membership. We also organizes our Annual Women in Healthcare Leadership Symposium and also our Gala. We honor members who have gone above and beyond in the previous year and swear in next year’s Board of Directors (BOD) at our Gala.

DIVERSITY COMMITTEE

We are advocates for underrepresented groups in health leadership and patient care. Our goal is to support diversity of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability. An inclusive environment will enhance the quality of healthcare by:

  • Leveraging diversity as catalyst for improved decision making, increased productivity, and competitive advantage.

  • Fostering an inclusive environment that recognizes the contributions and supports the advancement of all and improving the quality of an organization’s workforce.

  • Improving hospital/community relations.

  • Positively affecting the health status of patients and communities.

The Diversity & Inclusion committee will support chapter initiatives to promote equity in the work place and in-patient care.
